(sigh) It's going to be a long night.  I am currently working at the Selleck desk and will be here 'til 12 midnight.  Then I come back to night clerk tonight from 4 to 8 am.  And then I come back tomorrow to work the desk from 2 to 5 pm.  Lots and lots of quality time will be spent here. Just chillin'.  But an exciting thing went down when I first got here.  The girl working the shift before me is from Japan and her name is Ayako.  I asked her if she does Global Friends of Japan and she said yes.  Then a bunch of her friends who are also involved in GFoJ came to the desk and I got to meet all of them!  We had a good conversation, and I hope to see and talk to them again.  They're a really fun group of people, so I would love to get to know them.  It doesn't sound that exciting when I write about it, but I was so excited that I couldn't stop smiling for about 10 minutes after they left.  Okay, that's all.

Months since my last post! A new record! My summer is going pretty well so far.  I had 4 weeks of rest and relaxation, and now 5 weeks of busy-ness and stress.  I'm in 6 hours of classes for the first 5-week summer session.  Math 203 is going to be fine, but my Spanish class is another story.  I have it Mon and Wed from 5:30 to 9:20 pm.  Gah!  That's almost 4 whole hours!  That's longer than an extended edition of one of the Lord of the Rings movies!  The teacher intimidates me and there will be a LOT of work, but I will persevere.  I'm also leading summer Bible study at the Havenstein's, and am going to another study at Bob Walz's house.  I'm also still selling MK (Mary Kay) so that's going to take some time out of my week, and I'm trying to figure out a time every week that I can volunteer at the Friendship Home, but that hasn't fully developed.  Oh! I'm also working at the Selleck hall front desk 4 or 6 times a week and once a week as a night clerk.  (How I got roped in to doing that I again I have no idea ) Its going to be a busy 5 weeks of classes and work, but after that the rest of the summer will be great.  All of you STPers need to update so the rest of us can know how you're doing! Please?

God's blessings on everyone's summer!

Once again, I am using Xanga as an outlet of procrastination.  It figures.  Anyway, I have a big test in Comm 201 tomorrow, and I've been studying statistics formulas and problems all night long and I'm SICK OF IT!!  And once I take that test, I have to work on a paper due in my comm 200 class, then work on a big computer project due thursday in comm 201.  I am about ready to quit.  Seriously.  Okay, maybe not seriously, but that sounds like a good option at this point.

School aside, I am excited for the summer!  I will be here taking classes, working somewhere, hopefully finding a place to volunteer, and selling MK.  I'm hoping to keep busy and work hard to avoid being lazy, which is pretty much my nature.  But laziness doesn't earn money, nor does it help the time go by faster.  Therefore, I must work.  It should be good though, especially with a pretty good number of people I know who will be staying in Lincoln for the summer.  That should ease the pain of not seeing other people for the weeks they'll be home/overseas.  It will most def be nice to think of something other than the copious amounts of school work currently hanging over my head.  Good times.  Anyway, back to the study grind!

Take my life, and let it be
consecrated, Lord, to thee;
take my moments and my days,
let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Take my hands, and let them move
at the impulse of thy love;
take my feet, and let them be
swift and beautiful for thee.

Take my voice, and let me sing
always, only, for my King;
take my lips, and let them be
filled with messages from thee.

Take my silver and my gold,
not a mite would I withhold;
take my intellect, and use
every power as thou shalt choose.

Take my will and make it thine;
it shall be no longer mine.
take my heart, it is thine own;
it shall be thy royal throne.

Take my love; my Lord, I pour
at thy feet its treasure store;
take my self, and I will be
ever, only, all for thee.
